One thing I miss about Windows is Notepad. I use Notepad to remove styling from text that I have stored in the clipboard. I’ll paste into notepad and then copy out of notepad then past that into another application, knowing that only clean un-styled text will persist.

I want to do the same thing on Mac, but Notes is no good since it preserves formatting.

However, Mac has a rather cool built in feature that lets you paste whatever is in the clipboard but without the styling. You copy text in the normal way and then instead of using command + v you use:

command + option + shift + V
